On
the Solway Lass Tallship
Voyage One - Nov 12th to 15th
From toe lacerations to monkey flips and
drinking games to criminal mysteries, this trip had it all!
The crew, led by Skipper Greg, was fantastic! And our fellow
guests left nothing to be desired.
We
all became friends very quickly and went on to have a lot of
laughs and make a lot of great memories.
The highlights for us were definitely the view
from the Tongue Bay lookout, the "ibble dibble" game, the amazing
sunsets, and the abundance of beautiful sunshine! And of
course the last night out together which is a little hazy....but I
recall it involved men wearing women's clothes, a wet t-shirt
contest and a lot of jugs of beer!
Voyage Two - Nov 16th to 19th
After the splendid first trip, we couldn't wait
to get out again for the second voyage. The only thing
better than sailing for four days in the Whitsundays on a tall
ship is.....sailing for eight!
The new crew (except Tegan and Jen) was led by
Skipper Crusty and equally as great as the first! The guests
on this voyage took a bit longer to get to know each other but,
with the help of the crew,
eventually seemed to get along very
well (hee hee).
This highlights from this voyage were the trip to
the beach in the rainstorm, the superb winds and sailing, the
beautiful champagne sunset, and the amazing full moonlit view and
cloud gazing the final night. And of course the last
night out together in town where the unthinkable
happened....first, an excruciating karoake rendition of "Mac the
Knife" followed up with table top dancing to the B52's "Love
Shack". What a night!
